Learning at the Whitehead Memorial Museum
The Whitehead Memorial Museum offers 5 types of student programs that focuses on South Texas history.
1.Self Guided Tour
Teachers take their students on a tour of the museum.
1 Hour, $1 per student.
A museum tour guide will take teachers and students on a tour of the museum.
1 Hour, $2 per student.
3.Native American Trunk Show
Students learn about the Native Americans that lived in the South Texas area.
30-45 minutes, $1 per student.
4.Pioneer Trunk Show
Students learn about daily tools used in the pioneer days.
30-45 minutes, $1 per student
Teachers and Teacher Aides are free. All other adults are $5 each.
Self Guided Tour - $1 per student
Self Guided Tour with 1 trunk show -

$3 per student
Guided Tour - $2 per student

5.Scout Camp Outs
The museum grounds are perfect for your next scout camp out.
Scouts and chaperons are able to pitch tents, have a camp fire, and complete activities all within the safety of the museum.
