The purpose of the Whitehead Memorial Museum's Oral History Project is to gather, preserve, and interpret the voices and memories of Del Rio and Val Verde County, Texas.

Oral histories provide a link to the past and enable us to connect current and future generations with the stories of yesterday. These memories won't be here forever and it is important that we preserve as much information as we can for future generations.
